West Australian Young Voices – WAYV is an exciting treble choir for children aged between 7 – 18.
WAYV is the premier children’s choir of Western Australia with four distinct main ensembles. We welcome children of different ages, vocal types, and skill levels.
Smalley is a beginner ensemble for singers in Years 2-6 (ages 7-12) who are enthusiastic about singing and music (no audition required)
Tunley is an intermediate ensemble for Treble singers aged 8-16 who have a passion for singing and music.
Grandage is an advanced ensemble for Treble singers aged 12-18 who have strong musical skills and love singing a variety of musical styles.
Minchin is a changed-voice ensemble for Tenors, Basses and changing voices aged 10-18.
As the premier children’s choir in WA places are offered to children via an audition.
WAYV’s mission is to provide exceptional choral and singing instruction, musical education, and performance experience to West Australian children; to foster their innate creativity, encourage participation in the community and promote the creation, performance and advancement of new and existing Australian music.
Rehearsals are centrally located in Manning just off the Freeway south exit and held on a Saturday afternoon from 1 – 4pm.
Children will be given the opportunity to learn a fabulous and varied repertoire and perform in a series of concerts throughout the year
