Since its inception in 1997, Perth Symphonic Chorus has been held in high esteem by Western Australian musicians and music lovers.
Founded by Dr Margaret Pride OAM, the Chorus has performed a diverse repertoire throughout Australia and on tours internationally, in collaboration with major orchestras and instrumental and vocal soloists.
Perth Symphonic Chorus is uniquely placed in the musical landscape. The Chorus is a champion of local talent, regularly employing emerging and established soloists for over 2 decades. Choir members are diverse in age and professional backgrounds. Our concerts vary in scale from chamber works to full orchestral pieces performed on the largest stages. Our members represent the very best of volunteerism, undertaking production and administrative roles on top of their places in the soprano, alto, tenor or bass sections. Most of all, the choristers are the custodians of the choir. Perth Symphonic Chorus is truly a product of the community it gives back to.
In 2022, James Pratt was appointed as the new Music Director for Perth Symphonic Chorus. After weathering the storms of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Chorus has emerged with renewed passion and enthusiasm for choral music and looks forward a bright future performing beautiful music in front of a live audience – something we don’t take for granted.
Rehearsal – Thursday 7:30 to 10:00 at All Saints Uniting Church, 48-50 Berkeley Crescent, Floreat.
