The Australian Intervarsity Choral Festival returns to Perth! Rotating around Australia, the Intervarsity Festival (IV) movement dates back to 1949 when two university choirs in Sydney and Melbourne met together for a joint concert. Now in its 68th year, choristers from university choirs all around Australia will gather in Perth to perform, and you can join in too! IV is a fantastic way for amateur and seasoned choristers of all ages to indulge in their love for choral singing in a social atmosphere, and have the opportunity to work with local musicians in a large scale, high quality concert.
In 2017, IV will consists of eight days of intensive rehearsal with conductor Christopher van Tuinen (Four days at camp and four days within the CBD), and culminate in a concert at the Government House Ballroom. Our repertoire will include Puccini Messa, Brahms Drei Motteten, and other works.
