Join the UWA Choral Society in a performance of two of John Rutter’s most enduring and endearing pieces: his acclaimed Requiem and joyously colourful Magnificat.
Since its premiere in 1985, Requiem has been performed countlessly throughout the world and is now an established classic. Magnificat has similarly enjoyed immense popularity ever since its premiere in 1990. Based on the Latin text and interspersed with the anonymous English poem “Of a Rose, a lovely Rose”, Magnificat is imbued with a Latin-flavoured atmosphere of fiesta and celebration.
Featuring a graceful and eclectic program of joyous melody and powerfully expressive orchestra, this performance is not to be missed.
